Brian Stanley is a play-by-play sports broadcaster, sports talk radio show personality, freelance multimedia journalist, photographer, videographer, and radio DJ. With more than 20 years of experience, Stanley currently covers high school and college sports in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties in California.
Discovering a passion for journalism during high school, Stanley has been driven to acquire skills in many facets of the media industry. During his career he has gained experience in field reporting, social media, video production, photography, graphic design, audio production, radio broadcasting, television production, website design, digital media, print design and publishing.
He earned his Bachelor of Science, Journalism, degree from San José State University and his Associate of Science, Photography, degree from Allan Hancock College.
During his time at San José State, Stanley covered the university's Division I sports programs as a Spartan Daily staff writer and as an undergraduate assistant in the SJSU's athletics media relations department.
His responsibilities with the Spartans included media liaison for women's swimming & diving and men's water polo. He also assisted in Spartans football game day media coverage.
